The Space

The Middle Floor is an inclusive, not for profit art and movement creation and events space based in Leeds City Centre.

Run by artists for the local professional and wider community, the space is used for public classes, workshops, residencies and private hires.

We believe in the transformative power of art and movement and our aim is to offer a space where growth, connection and grounding can happen. A space to move, create and belong.

Influenced by the flexible nature of modern creative work, our space thrives on its adaptability. What can be a rehearsal space in the day often transforms to an art exhibition, meeting point or a party space in the evening. We have several hireable spaces, a co-working space and a variety of resident artists spanning dance, theatre, photography and media.

We’re open to any suggestion for hire or to add to our existing programme, so feel free to begin the conversation. Whatever gets your creative juices flowing, we’re here for it!

“the perfect place to be selfish in amongst freelance stresses, to move for yourself and to learn.”
