MONDAYS

Beginners Contemporary is a dance class for anyone who wants to find their flow, meet other dance enthusiasts and enjoy their Monday evenings, while improving physical and mental wellbeing.

Focusing on the fundamentals of Contemporary Technique, the course will target a new movement theme each session, blend it with some funky tunes and classic moves and leave you feeling motivated for the rest of the week.

This class is open to all and welcomes dancers of all backgrounds, ages and levels of experience

TUESDAYS | THURSDAYS

6:00-7:30PM

Maintain or reconnect with your training at our twice weekly pro-classes at The Middle Floor.

Covering a range of styles and techniques, our classes are led by resident, local and guest artists from across the UK.

These classes are open to professional dance artists, those in training and those who have left the industry but wish to reconnect with the joy of dance.

All classes exist under our ethos to support sustainable careers and relationships with dance.

WEDNESDAYS

5.45PM-7:00PM

DYNAMIC FLOOR are intermediate-level floor work classes aiming to develop fluidity and movement rhythms.

We will work on the coordination and physicality of movements to understand how to organise our bodies in order to enter and exit the floor.

We will use our weight and momentum to move in an efficient-effortless way without disrupting the flow of movement.

WEDNESDAYS

7:15-8:30pm

Contact improvisation is a form of improvised dancing that has been developing internationally since 1972.

It involves the exploration of one's body in relation to others by using the fundamentals of sharing weight, touch, and movement awareness.

Our regular class focusses on learning the techniques and ideas contact improvisation offers, building on your skills in a relaxed environment.
