Producing

A core part of the work we do at the Middle Floor is support artists in turning their ideas into reality. We help you to design your project, find the right partners, and manage the project when funding is secured, and we have experience in a wide range of art forms including dance, theatre, & visual arts.

Interested? Even if your idea is in the early stages, please contact middlefloor.leeds@gmail.com to set up a meeting. Please note that in busy periods it may take us a few weeks to get back to you, so please factor this into your timeline if you have one.

How does it work?

Creative Enquiry

You come up with a brilliant, wonderful, ingenious idea for an art’s project and get in touch with The Middle Floor!

You meet with us and chat through your idea. We will ask you some questions about your idea to help us understand why it is you want to do this project, why it is important to you, and how you want to go about turning it from just an idea into a finished product. If we like the idea, and you like us, then we’ll agree a way to work together.

Project Development

So you've agreed to work together! Now what?

We will work with you to develop your idea into a reality.

We will help you connect with a wider team, agree with you a project timeline and budget, and will help you in applying for funding (if the project needs it).

We will then help manage your project and give creative advice throughout it.

Project Management

Things you can expect us from us includes:

  • Creative feedback

  • Writing contacts

  • Managing the budget

  • Facilitating feedback sessions

  • & much more!

We understand that each artist and project will has specific needs and we aim to provide a bespoke service for all.

You can find out more about the artists we support here. If you are a programmer and would like to find out more about the artists we work with, please contact callum@themiddlefloor.com.
